Order API overview

The order endpoint of the SOAP API lets you order accounts and subscriptions.

Each order specifies the package that Smile uses to create the account or subscription. A package contains one or more services and the configuration information needed to set up the services, such as stationery and dispatch rules for an account, or plan schedules and usage allowances for a subscription. Packages help streamline the order process, because you can order an account and multiple subscriptions at the same time. Packages also let you bundle services that cannot be purchased individually.

Smile emits SmileOrder messages after it completes an order action. These messages help you track the status of orders, and can signal to other applications that an action is required to process the order.
