Create a statement

Creating a statement generates a record of the transactions on an account in a specified date range. After you create a statement, you can print it or email it to a customer.

This task explains how to create a statement.

  1. Search for the account for which you want to create a statement, then double-click the account entry in the search results.
    The Account summary page is displayed.
  2. On the Account menu, click Print Statement...
    The Statement window appears and lists any previous statements for the account. Click Print next to a previous statement to print the statement without regenerating it.
  3. Enter the first date of the statement in the Statement start date field, and enter the last date in the Statement end date field.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Click Email statement and complete the fields in the Email Account window to email the statement to a customer.
      CAUTION:
      Select Statement from the Add attachment drop-down to include the statement file in the email.
    • Click Print statement to print the statement to screen.
After you create a statement, Smile adds the statement to the list on the Statement window.
