Merge accounts

Merging accounts lets you remove duplicate accounts for the same customer. When you merge accounts, Smile moves all subscriptions and transaction history from one account to another account. Smile does not move any configuration data or any other information, such as contact details, to the target account.

This task explains how to merge accounts.

  1. Search for the account that you want to merge, then double-click the account entry in the search results.
    Smile will move this account's subscriptions and transaction history to the target account.
    The Account summary page is displayed.
  2. On the Account menu, click Merge Accounts.
    The Merge Accounts page is displayed.
  3. Click Search for target account, search for the account to move the subscriptions and transaction history to and click Select.
  4. Click Merge then click Continue.
    Smile moves the subscriptions and transaction history to the target account. You can now delete this account if you wish to do so, but Smile will also delete any logs associated with the account such as the Event Log page and the dispatch log.
