Migrate a subscription

Migrating a subscription lets you move a subscription to a different account. For example, two flatmates may have two mobile subscriptions on the same account, but need to move each subscription to separate accounts when their tenancy ends.

When you migrate a subscription, Smile moves the subscription's configuration, usage records, custom tariffs and plans, and any other custom information to the new account. However, Smile does not move existing invoices raised against the subscription to the new account.

This task explains how to migrate a subscription.

  1. Search for the subscription that you want to migrate, then double-click the subscription entry in the search results.
    The subscription's summary page is displayed.
  2. Click Migrate Service.
    The Move subscription to a new account page appears.
  3. Type the name of the account to which you want to move the subscription in the Search field, press Enter then click Migrate next to that account.
    Smile moves the subscription to the new account.
