Unlock a subscription

Unlocking a subscription restores a customer's access to a locked subscription. Smile resumes charging recurring charges after you unlock the subscription, and credits the account with the value of any recurring charges raised when the subscription was locked.

Tip: You can also specify the unlock date when you lock the subscription.

This task explains how to unlock a subscription.

  1. Search for the subscription that you want to unlock, then double-click the subscription entry in the search results.
    The subscription's summary page is displayed.
  2. Click Unlock Service.
    The Unlock service window is displayed.
  3. Select the end date in the Unlock account from drop-down, and if necessary enter the end date and time in the Unlock date and Unlock time fields.
  4. (Optional) Type the reason why you unlocked the subscription in the Comments field.
  5. Click Unlock.
    Smile unlocks the subscription.
