Change passwords

The Account Password Manager lets you change the password for all subscriptions associated with an account, including the default account password. The default account password is the default password for each new subscription added to the account. An existing subscription may have the default account password or a separate password.

If the account is not protected, the Account Password Manager also displays each password.

This task explains how to change a password.

  1. Search for the account whose passwords you want to change, then double-click the account entry in the search results.
    The Account summary page is displayed.
  2. On the Account menu, click Change Passwords....
    The Account Password Manager window is displayed. If the account is not protected, Smile displays the passwords for each subscription.
  3. (Optional) Enter the name of the subscription whose password you want to change in the Subscription Search field.
    Smile searches for the subscription and displays the search results.
  4. Select the subscriptions whose passwords you want to change.
    To change the account password, select the Make this the default password checkbox.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Type the new password in the Password and Verify fields.
    • Click Generate to randomly generate a new password.
  6. Click Set passwords, then click Continue.
    Smile changes the password for the selected subscriptions.
