Create a custom field

Custom fields created for your Smile configuration are added to the Custom Field list, under the Pre-Defined fields list on the Custom Fields page.

This task explains how to create a custom field.

  1. Select Custom Fields under Services, Ordering & Rating on the Configuration and Tools page.
    The Custom Fields page is displayed.
  2. Click Create new....
    The Create New Field page is displayed.

  3. Type a Field name.
  4. (Optional) Type a Field ID.
  5. Select a Field type from the drop-down.

  6. Select an option from the Only allow this field to be added to: drop-down.
    For more information, see Field object action.
  7. Click Create Field.
    The Custom Fields page is displayed.
